Peluncurkan dilakukan sehari sebelum natal dan unit sendir baru akan masuk ruang pamer di Jepang pada 7 Januari 2011.

Menurut Suzuki, Solio baru merupakan mobil mini yang agak diperbesar, terutama tingginya. Tujuannya untuk mendapatkan ruang kabin yang makin besar. Kendati demikian, konsumsi bahan bakar diklaim tetap ruang. Kalim Suzuki sesuai standar tes Jepang, 22,5 km/liter.
